  Top Tier K9 and Jeff Minder misleads the public and K9s. They promote bite work personal protection trained dogs to be medical service dogs.
  
  This is a huge liability and the ADA will not protect a handler with a protection trained service dog. This type of protection training does not fall in the ADA regulations that the task must be directly related to the handler's disability. No disability requires a service dog that can take out a gun-wielding bad guy on command. A dog's natural instinct may take over in a situation like that, but an actively trained protection dog...well, the courts will not be on your side. A fully trained protection dog is considered a weapon. It is not considered to be a service dog by the DOJ and will have zero protection under ADA.
  
  Your service dog can do bite work for SPORT, but not be a personal protection dog out in public. There is a difference.
  
  "Title II & III of the ADA - Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA."
  
  *Please note* I have not been banned or blocked from any sites, nor do I have many “fake identities” as the person who commented on this review has stated. Nor have they attempted to reach out to me. There is zero confusion with the ADA. If a Top Tier K9 Service Dog bites or attacks someone, it and the handler will not be protected under ADA. It will come out in court that the dog has personal protection training and thus, that makes the handler and possibly the training company liable.
